Namib Ensemble 'Just Sold'

Namib Ensemble is my second tribute to a group of African elephants I witnessed reveling in a muddy watering hole amid the tall grasses in a valley near the Namibian Brandberg mountain. With both faces and rears on display, embodying silence and noise, alertness and serenity, they felt like a natural symphony. It was only fitting to name them Ensemble and to complete the scene with a deep violet-purple bassline - an echo of their presence in the landscape.
