Do penguins remind anyone else of Hobbits? They seem to have an optimism in their waddle and are very happy in their own skin.

Painted this quintet after the observation of the lovely penguins at @2oceansaquarium.

Hard to imagine these guys are endangered. Thanks to all the teams who put in the effort to preserve them! According to SANCCOB, by 2035, the African Penguin is likely to go extinct due to a number of environmental factors.

20% of the sale of this painting will go directly to SANCCOB and their quest to stabilise the African Penguin population, and hopefully artists and art lovers alike can continue to be inspired by these lovely penguins far far into the future.
